About The Mission
Serving in Mission (SIM) Galmi Hospital is owned and operated by SIM, an international mission organisation with more than 1,600 active volunteers serving in more than 60 countries. It is located near the border with Nigeria. During any given time, there are 30-40 people from all over the world living full-time at the Galmi compound and serving there. Galmi Hospital Outpatient Department cares for 300 patients each day, and the Inpatient facility, which comprises of 110 beds on the medical, surgical, obstetrical, and paediatric wards.
About The Work
Galmi Hospital depends on a strongly committed group of short and long term medical missionaries who become ambassadors of the Great Physician to the country of Niger. LIFT has been sending teams to Galmi Hospital since 2003 and have seen great changes over the years. Our 2017 team will embark on a large Electrical installation including new generators. We will also require someone to prepare meals for the team. This does not need to be a professional chef, just someone to provide good, tasty lunches /dinners!
